Made from heavy-guage aluminum for rapid and uniform heat conduction, the pans feature a ceramic non-stick coating that is free from PTFE, PFAS, PFOA, Lead and Cadmium. The lids are made from tempered glass (oven-safe to 450° F), so you can see what's cooking, maintain an even simmer, and catch imminent boil-overs. All that is the great performance part.
For compact storage, the stainless-steel handles fold up, employing Joseph Joseph's patented and fail-safe SwingLock mechanism that locks the handle securely into position during use and optimizes space when folded. For those of us with limited kitchen storage space, that makes a huge difference.
And, if high performance and compact storage isn't enough, the pans are anodized, a process that hardens and seals the surface of the aluminum, to create a striking shade of blue. Hand washing is recommended to maintain the appearance of the pans.
