This beautiful set consists of a Four Star 8" carving knife and a matching forged fork. Four Star knives are made in Germany, each knife forged from a single piece of Henckels' proprietary Friodur "ice-hardened" steel, hardened to -57 on the Rockwell scale, and hand-sharpened and polished. The blade will not stain or corrode, yet can be easily maintained. The molded polypropylene handles are permanently bonded to the tang without rivets or unsanitary gaps. The heavy forged bolsters help maintain a comfortable, secure grip and lend Four Star knives a classic appearance. The blades are shaped with the traditional 30 degree German blade angles, 20 degree angles on the Santokus.
