Whiskey Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup

The award-winning Woodinville Whiskey distillery in Washington repurposes their empty bourbon and rye barrels, filling them with Grade A, dark amber, maple syrup from New England. The syrup ages for three to four months in the barrels, absorbing the flavors of vanilla, caramel, wood spice, as well as just a hint of whiskey. Breakfast may never be the same.
