This 12-qt. stockpot is made of 18/8 stainless steel, with a bottom that sandwiches a thick layer of aluminum for rapid heat conduction. This construction ensures that the pot heats quickly and that it works on all types of stovetops, including magentic induction. The two loop handles are riveteed to the body of the pan, and the glass lid (no need to keep lifting to check a simmer) is tempered, so it's oven-safe to 450 degrees F. The lid also features a steam vent to minimize rattling. Of course, this stockpot and its lid are dishwasher safe.
