The Haptiq chef's pan from Scanpan measures 12.5" in diameter and 2.5" high. We think this is the ultimate non-stick cookware. It's made in Denmark. with the most advanced version yet of Scanpan's exclusive non-stick cooking surface, called Stratanium+. This ceramic non-stick is 100% free of PFOA and PFOS, from raw materials to finished product. It's a 5-layer system of hard particles and wave-like layers that reinforce the non-stick materials. First, a ceramic-titanium compound is fired onto each pan at a temperature of 26,000F, at a speed of twice the speed of sound. The compound momentarily liquifies, permanently embedding itself in the surface of the pan. Next, an exclusive non-stick compound is bonded to the new surface, creating a lifetime non-stick cooking surface that will not peel and will not interact with food. Stratanium+ is not smooth: it's a textured non-stick surface that gives Haptiq cookware its name (haptics refers to the sense of touch) and allows both exceptional food release and top-notch searing and browning. Metal utensils are perfectly safe to use in Haptiq pans, and Haptiq cookware is safe in the dishwasher (we still recommend hand washing all non-stick cookware).
