Messermeister invented the hard-plastic knife blade protecters they call Edge-Guards. Each has two blade entry notches and completely protects fine edges on fine knives. If you don't keep your knives in a block, or if your knives travel with you, Edge-Guards are a must. Hand wash only; do not run through the dishwasher. This Edge-Guard measures 6.5" x 1.9375" and fits chef's knives or other wide-blade knives with a blade 6" or less in length.
