Inspired by folk tales of the mid 19th century, the In The Forest collection of mixing bowls are intricately embossed with forest scenes featuring favorite forest animals, the owl, the fox, the rabbit, and the hedgehog. Made from chip resistant earthenware, the bowls are heavy enough to counter the tendancy to move during manual mixing and the pattern is designed to help grip the bowl. The shape allows you to hold the bowl in one arm easily while the other can be used for beating the mixture. The wide shallow shape is just right for kneading, and the white interior makes it easy for the cook to see the colour and consistency of the mixture for better results. The bowls of the In The Forest collection are sized to nest together for easy storage. The Owl mixing bowl measures 26 cm, or about 10.25", in diameter, with a capacity of approx. 2.85 qts.
