Le Creuset Essential ceramic non-stick cookware is finished, inside and out, with an advanced non-stick coating that is free from the PFAS found in petroleum-based non-stick cookware. This ceramic coating is non-reactive, safe for use with metal utensils, extremely scratch resistant, and can even go in the oven up to 550°F. It's a finish that produces a great sear, with or without butter or oil. The core of each Essential ceramic pan is forged from aluminum for rapid and uniform heat conduction, with a fully encapsulated stainless-steel base and a reinforced rim. Essential pans perform beautifully on all stovetops, including magnetic induction. The ergonomic handles are comfortable and designed to minimize heat transfer from the pan body. Essential pans are dishwasher safe, but we would recommend hand washing.
