Crafted from enameled cast iron and specifically designed for cooking over an open flame, the Alpine grill basket is completely encased in a rugged matte black enamel that is ready to use and requires no seasoning. Easy-to-clean and durable, the enamel resists dulling, staining, chipping, cracking and rusting, and over time develops a patina that will enhance cooking performance. Perforations in the bottom of the basket keep small items from falling through, while still allowing heat to reach the food for that smoky grilled flavor. Oversized, raised loop handles make it easy to maneuver the pan on the grates, even with bulky grill gloves, yet the low-profile design allows grill hoods to close without interferance. The Alpine grill basket is heat-safe up to 842° F and is safe in the dishwasher as well as for use with metal utensils. Limited lifetime warranty from Le Creuset.
