Each piece thus has its own distinctive look and feel. The name Irish Coast comes from the construction method, a jigsaw-style assembly that was popular in 18th-century Ireland. However, in a perfect example of our contemporary global connectedness, Irish Coast furniture is made in Vietnam for sale in the United States. The larger Irish Coast table measures 44" wide and 72" long in the closed position, large enough for six diners. The butterfly leaf that stores below the top expands the table to 96" long, plenty of room for eight, even seating ten in a pinch.
