This unique compost bucket does not have a filter. Instead it allows fresh air to circulate through the compost for less odor and fewer bugs. Oxygen enters through a wind-flume system at the top, which helps prevent liquid buildup, so the compost remains drier and breaks down with less mess and odor. This patented system doesn't require filters, unlike sealed compost containers. The Fresh Air compost bucket is made of partially recycled plastic and partially recycled steel. It has a capacity of 1.3 gallons and comes with 5 bio-degradable compost bags (also sold separately). A wire frame holds the compost bag securely in place. The lid opens with a push of a button. It's very stable and doesn't tip over when the collector is empty but the lid is up. The Fresh Air compost bucket is easy to take apart, and all the parts are dishwasher safe.
