This coffeemaker from Cuisinart has earned the coveted Home Brewer Certification from the Specialty Coffee Association of America, awarded only to machines that produce superior coffee. It has done this by automatically replicating the manual "pour-over" method of coffee brewing: first a pre-brewing release of hot water to "blooom" the flavor of the ground beans, then a carefully calibrated release of water at the proper temperature to extract the full and accurate flavor of the coffee. This is a machine that will give you pour-over-quality coffee without the tedious time and effort.
Easy-to-use conrols let you select mild, medium or bold flavor profiles and to choose hot or extra-hot brewing temperatures. The Pure Precision coffeemaker is 24-hour programmable, so you can set the start time, adjust the off time, even program a self-cleaning cycle. Coffee is brewed into an insulated, stainless-steel, 8-cup carafe, so your coffee stays hot with no flavor-altering cooking on a hot plate. And, there's a drip-stop feature that lets you grab a quick cup before the entire brewing cycle is complete. The Pure Precision coffeemaker comes with a laser-etched, stainless-steel permanent filter, a starter pack of paper filters, and a water filter.
