This chinois is perfect for puréeing soft and semi-soft foods, straining soups and making stocks and broths. The fine stainless steel mesh allows liquid to pass through while retaining the pulp and other unwanted solids. When used with a wooden pestle (sold separately). the chinois can be used to create purée from cooked fruits and vegetables. Made of sturdy, long lasting stainless steel, with a handle and lip that allow the chinois to rest on bowl or pan while in use. 18" x 8", 7' in diameter.
