When coffee professionals, those who evaluate coffee for a living, brew a cup, they use a simple French press. That's because with pressed coffee, nothing stands between you and the full, rich coffee flavor; no filters, no pumps and tubes, no timers. With the Chambord French press from Bodum, all you need is boiling water and ground coffee to experience coffee at its best. The principle of the French press is simple: add boiling water to ground coffee in the glass carafe, let the coffee brew to the desired strength, then use the plunger to slowly press the coffee grounds out of the brew and down to the bottom of the carafe. What's left behind is a simply fabulous cup of coffee! Making coffee this way lets you use the hottest possible water to extract all the flavor from the coffee and eliminates the build up of coffee residues that can alter the flavor in conventional coffeemakers. It's coffee in its purest form.

The Chambord French press from Bodum is the original design that has made the French press famous. It employs a glass carafe (yes, we sell replacements!), a stainless-steel mesh filter press and a stay-cool handle. There's even a cup at the bottom to trap the ground coffee, making clean up easier.
