Yes, the body of this Arti scale is really natural bamboo!. Arti scales are pretty cool; accurate, versatile, easy to use, and easy to clean. And, they're nice looking, too. The have more capacity than most kitchen scales, capable of weighing up to 15 lbs. in either ozs. or grams. Plus, Arti scales are able to weigh liquid ingredients in either fluid ozs. or milliliters. The oversized digital display sits flush with the natural bamboo weighing platform and between the touch-screen contols, so the Arti scale wipes clean and has no nooks or crannys to trap food. Or course these scales have a tare (add and weigh) function, so you can weigh all the ingredients for a recipe in one bowl. Accuracy is one-tenth of an ounce or one gram. Arti scales are easy to store, too, just .75" thick and measuring 9" x 6.5". Two lithium batteries are included.
